Since 2013 kicked off, a nice project got our attention. A school project of four students of the Catholic University of Leuven worked on a website to bring classical music closer to the public. Therefore they developed a working social media strategy and gorgeous new website. Why do we want to present this website to you? Why would it be interesting for readers of our blog? The answer here is simple: one of the methods the students use is through movie music. At the center of their content, the website offers information and videos of filmed composers, like W. A. Mozart in Amadeus or Schubert in The Double life of Schubert. With a small biography the students categorize some periods in the history of classical music and make connections with recent or older movies. Besides the website also puts a focus on shortfilms, movies about classical music and soundtracks in general. Our own Ruben Laureys adviced the student crew. Curious about their result?
